November 31 – 1 Corinthians 1:26-31

1cor1-26-31For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”
1CO 1:26‭-‬31 ESV

How awesome is it that God can call any of us to His work? I’m very encouraged that God isn’t looking for the super wise, super strong, super intelligent. He’s calling people of all types just like me and you.

He brings nothing to something to keep us humble and leaning on Him.

I also love the friendly reminder, that we are to boast in Jesus and what He has done! He gave all of Himself so that we could be saved! That’s something to boast about in Him! What should we boast about? He created all we have been, all we are, and all we will be. Let’s boast in HIM!

Does this speak to you? How?
