Titus 1:16

They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. ~ Titus 1:16

This is referring to the Cretans. When I read this, I think of all of the times in my life that I did works contrary to obedience to God all the while professing to know Him. Here, it says I am detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good work.

We should all take a look at our lives and ask ourselves and ask, “Do my actions and works reflect Jesus to those around me?” If you answer no, confess that to the Lord and repent. Be forgiven today!

I thank the Lord that He called me out on my lukewarm behavior, forgives my sins, and has mercy and grace that is beyond understanding. I’m thankful that He loves me so much that even though I am a sinner, Christ still died for me! ~ James Oliver
