Hebrews 10:23-25 – Start Fresh. Love One Another. Be Disciplined and Be Consistent.

Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, not staying away from our meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:23-25

Start Fresh. Love One Another. Be Disciplined and Be Consistent.

These are themes that have been running around my mind regarding how I want 2017 to be for myself and my family. As I read Hebrews 10:23-25, I see where the author of the book is encouraging his audience to push each other toward Jesus as the Day is coming. With a new year can come the mental refresher that we can set some new goals and begin some new disciplines. Don’t let the newness and excitement wear off as the year grinds on, but instead commit to be consistent in your study of the Word, and your encouragement of those around you. No matter what trials or hardships you may come up against, God is and will be the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. We can rest in knowing that He is sovereign, but let’s not keep it to ourselves. Find one person to pour into this year to share the Good News with and continue to walk through life with them.
