Mark 11:24 – Prayer
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” ~ Mark 11:24
When I read this, I, of course, started breaking down the ins and outs of exactly how I personally pray. A lot of people might address prayers differently and I certainly don’t think there is a right or wrong way. However, I believe one of the cornerstones of a healthy prayer life has to be faith and belief.
I guess stating it simply, why would a person ask for something if they thought that whoever they were asking couldn’t fulfill their request? The very fact that we bow before God with prayer requests insinuates that we do indeed believe in His power. However, I can speak from experience when I say I’ve honestly prayed for things in the past that I regretfully doubted anyone, even God could fix. Clearly, I know how incorrect this thought it and have since truly believed that whatever I ask of Him, He alone is capable of fulfilling.
So my advice to us all is not only never cease praying earnestly, but truly believe in your heart that God has all the power, mercy, and grace to fulfill your prayers.
