Genesis 3:12 – Blame Shifting

The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.”
~ Genesis 3:12 ESV

Often times, we are all guilty of blame shifting. Here, Adam is not only blaming his wife Eve, he’s even pointing the wrongdoing (sin) at God. I’m guilty of blame shifting and even telling God that if He hadn’t led me to the sin, I’d not have sinned. When the truth is, I know there’s always sin to the left or right of the path, and I needed to be keeping focused on Jesus, and asking for HIM to help me pass the temptation. How about you? Ever been like our father Adam and tried to place blame on God instead of right back on yourself?
