2 Corinthians 5:8-10 – Different At Home

Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
2 Corinthians 5:8-10

I read these scriptures late last year as I was finishing out the Chronological Bible Reading plan. This is speaking of “home” as being in heaven. But, as I read this, I thought about how sometimes, we are different at home than when we’re away at work, events, or even Church. But, this scripture says to make it our aim to please him wherever we are. Do you act differently in the privacy of your home? Jesus sees all and at the judgement seat, we will all receive what it due for what we’ve done in the body. Thankfully, Jesus forgives us when we ask.
