Philippians 3:20-21 – Our Forever Home

“But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” ~ Philippians 3:20-21

What excitement there is when we realize and understand that this frail, emotional, achy, and sometimes cantankerous body of ours is only our temporary shell! There are so many times that I feel anxiety creeping in and overwhelming my thoughts about trivial and fleeting things. The only thing that can adequately chase those away, is the hope and surety of an eternity with Jesus without pain, doubt, anxiety, or fear. Our temporary citizenship is here in this body, but our forever home is with our Lord Jesus in heaven.
