I Know Not How
In Mark 4:26-27, I was struck by what Jesus said about the man who scatters seed on the ground. Jesus said the kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed on the ground. The man scatters the seed; he sleeps, he wakes up day after day and night after night and the seed sprouts and grows but the man knows not how. After thinking about the statement, “he knows not how â€, I begin to consider all the areas in my life where I know not how.
As I finished reading Mark 4:28-41, I was reminded of even more areas where I know not how. I know not how the smallest becomes the largest in the kingdom of God (Mark 4:30-34). I know not how or when the storm is calming down (Mark 4:35-41). I know not how the seeds sprouts. I know not how the smallest becomes the largest. I know not how or when the storm is calming down but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that day what has been entrusted to me (2 Timothy 1:12). In this life, there are multitudes of “I know not hows, †but I do know Him who is able. Do you know Jesus? Are you trusting Jesus in all the areas of your life where you know not how?
