I Know Not How

In Mark 4:26-27, I was struck by what Jesus said about the man who scatters seed on the ground. Jesus said the kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed on the ground. The man scatters the seed; he sleeps, he wakes up day after day and night after night and the seed sprouts and grows but the man knows not how. After thinking about the statement, “he knows not how ”, I begin to consider all the areas in my life where I know not how.

As I finished reading Mark 4:28-41, I was reminded of even more areas where I know not how. I know not how the smallest becomes the largest in the kingdom of God (Mark 4:30-34). I know not how or when the storm is calming down (Mark 4:35-41). I know not how the seeds sprouts. I know not how the smallest becomes the largest. I know not how or when the storm is calming down but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that day what has been entrusted to me (2 Timothy 1:12). In this life, there are multitudes of “I know not hows, ” but I do know Him who is able. Do you know Jesus? Are you trusting Jesus in all the areas of your life where you know not how?
