Are You Certain About Eternity?

If you die today, are you certain you would find yourself in heaven?

God sent his only son so that we may have life eternally. No person can bypass the fact that Jesus was real and had an impact in this world. He literally caused the calendar to change. Who else does that?

Another cool fact: James, Jesus own brother was one of Jesus’ close disciples. Let me just imagine for a moment: if James (my older brother) came to me and told me he was the son of God, it would take an act of God to make me believe it. If Jesus’ own brother picked up and followed Him, that’s a pretty good sign that something was up.

There is an abundant amount of evidence that I could list and foretold stories of Jesus’ coming, from thousands of years before he was born.

Why did God have to send his son?
We deserve death for the sin in our lives. No matter how GOOD we are, we are not perfect. For ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Jesus came so that he would die and take our place.

If you’re not certain about heaven this is your day. Put your faith 100% into Jesus and ask him to lead your life. I promise you, it’s a life worth living.

if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:9‬

His Plan Are Better

Looking back over the last 3 years I can see how God has orchestrated great plans for my family. My heart’s desire, wanted to lead a different story but God prevailed. Looking back, I can see how His plans are better. Be okay with submission to God and trust he knows the plan best.

“Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise. Many are the plans in a personʼs heart, but it is the Lord ʼs purpose that prevails.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭19:20-21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Romans 8:26-27

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.  And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

~ Romans 8:26-27

Going through a tough time or a season you can’t understand what is going on?

Sometimes we don’t even know what to pray for and do not have the words to express our need or feelings with God. That is okay. Just express that you need clarity and peace about the situation. Talk to God in a non religious sounding prayer and more of a one on one discussion; as if He is right beside you. He hears you, every time. Trust. It’s okay to not be okay, but it is not okay to stay that way.

‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:2 – How do you *renew* your mind?

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the *renewal* of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” ~ ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭ESV‬‬

How do you *renew* your mind?

  • Talk to Jesus. How often do we forget that we can just ask God to guard/protect our thoughts? Prayer doesn’t have to be a routine religious time limited to meals and church leader prayers. God is always around and he loves conversation with his children. Ask Jesus to help you recognize wrong thoughts.
  • Recognize negative and sinful/bad thoughts. We all have temptations within our heads that people never see or know we struggle with. Those “harmless” thoughts can lead us down a bad. The moment you have a wrong thought, speak to it with the confidence and Jesus behind what you speak. For me it sometimes good to literally speak out loud and give it a name. Not right out in public of course. Haha.
  • It’s a daily thing. You have to be on constant guard. So start each day over.
  • Some of you need heart-charge before you can have mind-change. Only Jesus changes hearts. Has Yeshua(Jesus) fully 100% taken lead of your life/heart?

1 Timothy‬ ‭4:7-8 – Get FIT!

“… Rather train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4:7-8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

A lot of us need to physically exercise and I believe God wants us to be physically healthy but even more so, He wants us to spiritually exercise. The physical is temporary the spiritual is eternal. What you are doing to train yourself spiritually? You might even consider someone to come along side you as a trainer or someone to spot you as you train for godliness.

‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:6 – Who’s Leading?

“whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

We should try to look like Jesus if we claim we are Christian. There is plenty of grace for our failures but we should not use grace as an excuse for our bad actions. Is the Holy Spirit truly leading your life?

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:35-39‬ – More Than Conquerors

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:35-39‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The love of God is greater than anything we will ever go through. No where in the Bible does it promise that this life is a life of stress free, butterflies, and flowers. If anything, it promises tough times. BUT, it gives us the tools we need to face the day. As we go through these fighting times, remember, we are more than conquerors.
